Rooted for Expansion

Storms blew through her life year after year, causing her roots to dig deeper into the earth. There were so many things that had to be left behind. The pain of losing things that she thought belonged to her forever actually made the roots dig even deeper and when she finally began to realize that letting go of things and shedding skins was the medicine for the expansion of her heart and her truth. The deeper the wounds, the more radiant the light shined into the depths of her soul. The sun seemed to help burn away resentment and the blame, freeing her more and more and strengthening her connection to the mysterious warmth and light in the sky. And on a beautiful day when she is able to stand tall she embodies the wholeness of the spectrum of pain and joy and  it’s vast existence within.
